Both physicists and
religious leaders incorporate infinity when describing reality.
Physicists claim that the universe is infinite in its size, while
religious leaders claim that god is infinite in his power and his
wisdom. But infinity can exist only in mathematics and in
imaginations. We have no problems in imagining infinity. That is
because compared to the universe, we are so small and compared to
god, we are so lacking, and compared to the age of the universe, our
life span is so short. Many physicists agree with religious leaders
that there is no beginning of time. They both claim that time is
infinite.
It is easy to imagine time to be infinite, because our
fleeting moment of reality is so very short and we move so very
slowly compared to the speed of light. Time exists only as a man-made
concept of measuring motion. Man, for all intents and purposes, is
motionless, and lives and dies at the same place and the same time in
the vast universe where he is born.
It is also easy to
imagine space to be infinite, because the space we find ourselves in
on the earth is so very small compared to the size of the universe.
Space exists only as a frame of reference for measuring position.
Man, for all intents and purposes, lives on a 2 dimensional finite
surface without any edges and without a center. This is because we
are stuck on a very large extending film that is insignificantly
thin, the surface of the sphere, our earth. Stuck on the ground, we
can choose any direction, and be able to travel in that direction
without ever reaching an edge. This is an illusion of infinity.
In
that light, the entire universe can be looked on as if it occupies a
relatively thin shell of a finite area of a relatively large sphere.
This shell is without any edges or a center.
Its 2 inner surfaces are
like mirrors reflecting all light in between. As we look at the sky,
we see its vast extension within the shell. As we look directly up,
out of the shell, light is reflected and is guided and kept within
the shell.
There is no edge or center to the universe just like
there is no edge or center to our earth's surface. Not having an
edge or center is an illusion of infinity.
One picture using a
mixture of just 7 colors like the one below is worth a thousand
words.
One number using only ten
numbers, 0123469789 like pi, is worth a thousand pictures.
Man invented languages in
the form of pictures and words to describe his reality. Pictures,
frozen patterns of matter that change quickly, leave little room for
imagination of the reality they convey. Words on the other hand are
slow flowing descriptions of reality that could be stopped anytime
for focus and contemplation to read between the lines.
Numbers, frozen pictures
of imagination nature uses to bake its reality, existed long before
man appeared in it. While reality is finite, numbers are infinite and
allow man to go beyond reality to where ever his imagination leads
him to discover unimaginable thoughts. If you torture numbers long enough, they will tell you anything you want to hear.
Integers Integers are numbers from 1 to infinity. They are ordered in increments of 1. Integers that are not divisible by any other integers are called "prime numbers".
Numbers are a group of 10
unique integers represented by symbols and names.
The integer 0, also called “zero”, “naught”, “nil”, “oh”, “zilch” and ”zip”, and
the integer 1 is like 2 sides of the same coin. You cannot have one without the other.
When 01 dances and couples with another 01, they becomes 11 or 2 which looks like a line.
When 01, a sharp point, finds a 2, a wavy line, the line with a length splits into a surface with an area called 3.
3 sweeps thru the sea of space like a net and captures a 01 like it was a fish creating a 4.
4 has turned from an area into a volume and allows the 3 dimensions that are needed by atoms. The atoms move and bump into 01s to form 5s needed by life.
5 allows 3 dimensional shapes to experience an extra dimension and get a life. Like blooming flowers. When 01 and 5s couple like bees and flowers, magic called 6s happens.
6 is a number that holds lots of magic, like a jack in a box, or like the cells of a honeycomb or the 6 senses each of us have, to taste, smell and feel, and to hear, see and imagine. When a 6 is impregnated with a 01, a 7 is born.
7 is the number used by musicians to create music and by artists to paint pictures. All with a mixture of just 7 notes and 7 colors. When 7s and 01s meet, it is like an artist meeting his fans. Emotions spiral out of control and whirls like 8s form.
8 is formed when a 5 and a 3 couple, and 3s form when 2s and 01s couple. 0,1,1,2,3,5,8 are the Fibonacci numbers used by nature to form spirals.
9 is formed when 3 3s meet and dance and form a 9. When 9 dances with all the numbers, patterns are formed.
The way the number
terminates determines if it is a rational or irrational number.
Rational numbers
Rational numbersare
numbers that terminate either in repeating 0s, repeating integers or
repeating numbers. They are extremely rare forming a very small part
of the infinity of numbers that can be imagined. Rational numbers can
always be represented as x/y where x and y are rational numbers.
Examples of rational numbers are any integers like
123,469,789,123 no matter how big the numbers are, or fractions
like 0.0000000000000100000.... no matter how small they are, AS
LONG AS they terminate in
Repeating and never ending 0s, like for 1/2 written 0.500000..... or 0.5 for short, or
Repeating integers, like for 1/3 written 0.3333..... or 0.3 for short, or
Repeating numbers like for 1/7 written 0.142857142857142857... or as 0.142857 for short. These fractions follow their own patterns. 1/7 has 6 cycling numbers, 1/17 has 16 cycling numbers and 1/197 has 196 cycling numbers. When these fractions are multiplied by an integer, the repeating numbers after the decimal point rotate like in
Irrational numbers
Irrational numbersmake up by far most of the infinite numbers that can be imagined.
They are numbers that can NOT be represented by rational numbers or
fractions. Irrational numbers do NOT terminate. They go on for
infinity without repeating any pattern making numbers that cannot be
named. They can only be given symbols like π, called “pi”
tied to circles and e, called “e” tied to exponentials.
Complex numbers
Complex numbersare numbers made up of rational, irrational and imaginary numbers.
Despite numbers being
irrational and complex, we tag everything with them just like we name
everything with words. We use numbers to date and time when things
happen, to locate where they are, to describe how fast they go, how
hot they are and how much they cost. You can say anything with
numbers and numbers are very convincing, making it the most effective
method used by dishonest people to conceal blatant lies.
When we tag spoken words
and moving pictures with numbers, we can transmit them much farther
than we can hear and see.
Imaginary numbers
Imaginary numbersare numbers imagined by mathematicians in their attempt to go beyond and improve on nature. It allows them to solve problems nature could not, and to go where nature has not.
Statistics
If angels could talk,
they would talk in numbers, so if you want to listen to angels, just
listen to statistics. Random numbers in the background noise
highlight statistics like a white background highlights black
letters. Everything is always possible, if you wait an infinite
amount of time for it. But with a finite physical world in a finite
time frame, some things just don't happen by themselves without
guidance. If you win the lottery next month, then you are just lucky,
but if you win the lottery after you had dreamt the numbers to play
the night before, then you are blessed. To know if you are blessed or
not, you have to hear what the statistics tell you.
1 in a million is just a
spike in the background noise. The odds of winning the top lottery
prize can be about 1 in 100 million. That is like picking out the one
and only drop of water in an oil filled pool 10m wide, 10m deep and 50m long.
Most of us lead very
regular structured lives and events in our lives are more predictable
than chance. When something out of this world occurs, we dismiss it
as a surprise. If it occurs too often, we regard it as luck.
When
unrelated happenings suddenly connect, then statisticsis screaming 1 in a
trillion odds. This is like picking out the one and only marked grain
of sand from a 100m high cube filled with fine sand pictured below
with the football field on top.
Or like finding the one and only drop of water in an oil reservoir 1km square and 50m high pictured above.
Things that happen only
one time, like dying, are extremely rare events. We live most of our
lives living, dying only in the very last moment. Everyone's time,
averaging out to a few billion seconds for each of us eventually
expires. Death statistics gives us a clear picture worth thousands
of words and millions of numbers of how we are likely to die. This
knowledge is vital if you want to beat the odds and win some time extension by changing your life style.
1 in 2 will die of a form
of cancer.
1 in 3 will die from heart disease and
1 in 6 will die
from stroke.
Over your lifetime, in our modern gadget filled world,
1
in 70 will die from accidents.
For every 300 people who die from
accidents,
10 in 300 will involve a car,
1 in 300 will involve crime, and
1 in 300 will
involve a fall.
So be careful how you drive, who you are with and
where you walk.
In a city of 80,000 one will drown in water and one will burn in fire.
In a city of 300,000, one will die from
choking.
We live in a highly
uncertain world which is full of surprises. The chances of getting
killed by lightning are about 100 times greater than that of winning
the big lottery prize.
If you ever win the lottery, you can consider
yourself extremely lucky. But if you get hit by lightning just after
you have won the lottery, you can be certain that you have been
blessed.
One day I woke up in a very bad mood. My mom told me that I must have lost my heart and that I need to find it again to be content. Without my heart, I was torn. I felt like I was letting off steam all the time.
Without my heart, I felt like a balloon losing air, blowing off steam, blowing everyone away. My mom compared me to a hair dryer.
My behavior shocked her and she started calling me Electron. She told me that she was more shocked by me than by the electric kettle she tried to fix one day.
Listen to the text while reading....
My heart’s name is Proton.
Although my heart was much much smaller than me, it filled me up and kept me content, like a filled balloon.
My mom said that my lost heart was as well charged with emotions
longing to have me back with the sucking attractive powers of a magnet or of a vacuum cleaner.
Without me... she must be as well emotional... just like I am without her.
My mom said that once I find my heart, I will feel happy like a blown up balloon again, so I packed up and left to look for my heart.
I walked slowly away blowing off steam and turning around faster and faster, until I was rotating so fast that I looked like a propeller.
Then I started to spin faster and faster
until I was spherical like the sun. When I approached another boy who had also lost his heart, he ran away from me. To be honest, I didn’t like him either and ran away from him just as fast. I found him repelling.
My mom told me that my lost heart was also looking for me spinning around just like me.
She told me that when I find my heart, I will be so happy that I will dance with her and unite with her. Then to make sure it’s not all just a dream, I should go to sleep with her. She told me “In the morning when you wake up with your heart, then you will know that you have really found her”.
I landed on a carpet with many other boys all with lost hearts.
We were all blowing off steam and we found each other most repelling. A real live boy walked by and for luck I ended up hitching a ride with him. He touched the metal door knob to open the door and before I knew it, "Zapp", I shot across the air and landed in a sea of swimming boys with lost hearts. A bee called Metal buzzed by and landed on the door knob. I jumped on it and it flew me around before it threw me off.
I felt like a maple tree seed being spun by the wind and flying thru the air. As I was flying I was twirling and blowing off steam in all directions. I was like a sprinkler, spraying water.
The Antenna family complained of the disturbance. I landed with a spray of other boys in a river called Current
and we swam down all in a line. I couldn’t stop as I was continually pushed from behind. We all ended up in a lake and then in a hydro power generating station where they generated electricity.
We were ushered and pushed along inside a very long metal wire that looked like a tunnel. First along a thick power line, then along a thinner one until we reached a house and found ourselves in a battery charger being pushed into a battery.
When the battery was full, we started our long march. It was like our swim down the river Current.
Someone turned a switch and we were suddenly switched to flow thru a light bulb. The path was very narrow and we were all squeezed together very tightly that we were rubbing against each other. It got so hot that we all glowed red. We made light of every color. It was beautiful. We were told that some day, we might get to go thru a toy racing car to make it run.. or any electric machines to make them turn.
Making light was very enlightening. We were on trains pulling wagons called Photons and all going at the same speed - the speed of light. The only difference between trains was the types of wagons they were pulling.
All the wagons had the same volume and could carry the same amount of energy, but some were spaced farther apart because they were lower, longer, and shallower and others were spaced closer together because they were taller, shorter, and narrower.
Because all the trains went at the same speed - the speed of light, a greater number of taller wagons passed a certain point within a time span than lower wagons. This meant that a series of taller wagons carried more energy during an interval of time than a series of lower wagons. As the wagons got shorter, they got taller and passed by more frequently and thus delivered more energy. As they got shorter, their frequency and energy carrying capacity increased and changed color, from red to orange to yellow to green to blue to violet- all the colors of the rainbow when the sunshine shines thru the rain.
One day I happened to see a lost heart. As always we both stopped and looked at each other.
We recognized each other immediately and we were so happy that we started to dance. It was like being born again. We finally found each other. I was no longer just a charged electron. I was a neutral and complete Hydrogen again.
I was so happy that I jumped into a river and let myself be carried away.
I could not stop until I landed on a rock and then I could not move.
I stayed there motionless like a rock. For luck a friend rolled down the hill and pushed me back into the river.
He told me that he had been sitting a long time on top of the hill when a little boy came along, picked him up and threw him into the river below. Once moving, always moving till stopped. Once stopped always stopped till pushed to move.
That is the law of motion and movement called Inertia and Momentum. Like an apple that stays on the tree until the wind blows it off. And like it keeps falling until it hits the ground.
I asked my mom why is it that the apple falls to the ground. She told me that angels from a family called Gravity were blowing down at us from above.
They were at the edge of the universe blowing everything to the center. My brothers and I wanted to try to see if this was really true. We took a canon and shot one of our friend strait up in the air. Sure enough like mom told us, he fell back down.
When we shot him out toward our neighbor on the other side of the street, he went up and flew quite a distance away from us, landing on our neighbor's front porch.
Then we shot him out so far that he never landed. But he never went away either. He circled us like the sun circles the earth. The blowing angels on the edge kept on blowing him back to us while he kept on going away from us.
Someone protested very loudly. DID I HEAR WHAT YOU JUST SAID?? Did you just say that the sun circles the earth??
My dad told us that the sun does not really orbit around the earth. It just seems that way because we are seeing it from the earth. He said if we go to the sun and see it from the sun’s point of view, we will see that the earth actually circles the sun.
My mom added that there are as many points of view as view points. So we flew out far far away from the sun and saw it from another view point. From that far far away view point, the earth moved in a wavering line, and did not go around anything at all. So in the end all viewpoints have their truth.
My mom told me that while I was searching for my heart; my heart was also searching for me. Like a vacuum cleaner sucking up everything or like a magnet clinging on to nails. “Or like a compass” my heart claimed. “All lost hearts face the same direction together because they are all similarly emotionally charged”.
When they get stuck in such a position and stay that way, they act like magnets. Any magnet that wants to face any other direction than the others is repelled by all the others and is forced to turn, like soldiers all lined up for a march. She told me that she became a part of a very big magnet in a battery charger. One day as she was pushing in boys with lost hearts into the battery, she recognized me in the line and was able to sneak into the battery when no one was looking. She followed me until I noticed her and we reconnected.
My mom said that I was a very big boy, but like motion, size is as well relative. It all depends on the view point. When I asked her how big the universe was, and how big I was, she told me that I was one of the smallest things there was in the universe.
She said that if a boy held a balloon, and I was on that balloon, the balloon would be as big from my view point as the earth is for the boy holding the balloon. And that a virus on an orange was like a boy on the earth. The size of a virus to the earth is the same as the size of earth to our galaxy.
I asked how big the universe was.
She replied that if the boy’s brain was the size of the universe, each of his brain cells would be like a galaxy. She said that there are as many brain cells in his head as galaxies in the universe. And there are as many atoms in each brain cell as stars in each galaxy.
You are Hydrogen, the smallest atom in the universe. You make up most of the universe and you shall grow into all other atoms that make up everything.”
